Hyderabad: Hectic preparations are on for the launch of a political party by Telugu superstar Chiranjeevi with his close aides organising meetings with people from various walks of life.
Though the actor himself has not spelt out his political plans, there have been unmistakable signals emanating from his camp about his donning the new role.
There are indications that the mega star of Telugu cinema, who has acted in nearly 150 films, will announce his foray into politics sometime next month.

While his younger brother Nagendra Babu, himself an actor and leading producer, has been holding meetings with the members of fans associations, a close confidante Dr Mitra has been supervising training programmes for the potential cadre.
Babu has already toured the state to take feedback from the fans and to prepare them for the actor's political plunge.
He recently announced that his elder brother would reveal his plans in August, ending the prolonged suspense on the matter.

Dr Mitra, a gastroenterologist by profession and son of veteran Communist leader late P Sundaraiah, has been interacting with leaders of Left parties and representatives from various professions like lawyers, doctors, teachers, women activists and students.
Dr Mitra, a close family friend of Chiranjeevi is said to be playing a key role in formulating the policies and programmes of the new party, though he describes himself as one among millions of Chiranjeevi's fans.
"He (Chiranjeevi) said he himself would announce his decision. Let's respect it. It's a courtesy. When he makes the announcement, it will be crystal clear. There will be no ambiguity," he told reporters on the sidelines of an orientation programme for members of Mahila Vaaradhi (women's wing).
